Vegan Holiday Sugar Cookies With Kids

Using this fantastic recipe for cookies and their accompanying icing, the kids had a blast making their own cookie creations. It was a lot of work making and then supervising the process, but it was well worth it! I know I will soon forget the stress of this day long task and try this again for Valentine’s Day… it is on its way, as determined by the seasonal aisle in the drug store. But let’s focus now on these Christmas-themed cookies.

The perfect dough

Everyone would get their own ball of dough to roll!

The icing recipe… I can’t say enough good stuff about it. It dried beautifully, to a touchable shiny sheen

The kids would use these “tall boy” craft beers to roll out their dough. They were perfect!

Notice the Star Wars… the kids got really excited about my fancy Star Wars cookie cutters! So they kind of took over

Now it was time to decorate

I was so pleased to find these vegan sprinkles at the Big Lots.

In the end, the cookie chaos was well worth it…
