This Year’s Christmas Cookie Boxes

Usually my treat holiday treat boxes go to my colleagues in teaching… ones that help add a little fun to the dysfunction. But not being in the classroom anymore, these boxes would go to my guy’s children’s teachers (Boy, I really hate double-possessives).

First, the very much loved pumpkin chocolate chip cookies that have been swooning the household. I still don’t know how her version looks so orange-y as mine continue to read as… brown. Delicious brown!

Such a great dough…

I opted for making them a little festive with some of the sprinkles I had picked up for sugar cookies with the kids. More on that in another post. Don’t they look good?

Next, another recent favorite–the Mexican Hot Chocolate cookie! Look at that thick dough…

It was a bit of a cocoa powder explosion making them. All’s fair in love and baking.

Ok, so brown pumpkin cookies and dark brown Mexican hot chocolate cookies… The next cookie had to have a different palatte!

And indeed it did! I made raspberry tart cookies. The process started making a homemade raspberry jam.

Soft and buttery tart shells

They were ready for baking

A little sprinkle of holly and there they are! Amazing tart flavor in a buttery crust

The boxes were now ready to go! Hoping they sweeten up some important people’s lives.
