Remote

As I attempt to become remote teaching expert in 30 seconds, I decided I would also attempt to remotely teach my after school crafting club! I assigned my first assignment… to capture a piece of “Your Brooklyn.” So I went out to capture mine–my bridge. I was so pleased to be isolated. Now I know you must have seen all the funny introvert memes, joyous in the widespread promotion of social distancing, self-isolation, and cancelled plans. They do make me chuckle and, admittedly, I am much less disrupted by the changes the world is enforcing. But I am also scared too. Introvert self-care feels different in my head than this, than these bans and restrictions. I worry for the freedoms that have been curtailed recently; I worry about panic, fear and anxiety… and what it can do to me, my loved ones, the entire country, the entire world. I am going to try to keep embracing all that which fills me with awe and love and happiness–maybe even more so. So I’ll likely be going on a lot more photo missions. And I am going to be baking a lot. If I can help you feel better, please let me know.
