Happy St. Patrick’s Day
Irish Bangers & Mash ☘️

After a very draining and emotional day in my classroom, my home away from home, I hit the kitchen. I wanted to make Bangers and Mash with the Field Roast I picked up to have ample protein sources on hand for quarantine. So I hurried over to the corner produce store, which was amply stocked with tons of fruits and veggies, for some potatoes and an onion. A slew of utensils and pans later, I had myself gluttonous plate of food to dive in lieu of any St. Patrick’s Day revelry.

My gravy was a big fail, but still manages to moisten things up. And the Field Roast sausage, which I hadn’t had since they were purchased by a meat company, seemed less delicious than I remember. No discernible apple or sage in the apple & sage sausage. Perhaps it was the gravy or my charring them that skewed my tastebuds?

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Perhaps I’ll take a swig of something in the liquor cabinet? To toast away my days in my one of my most favorite happy places as my job shifts to couch time… Goodbye for now, dear classroom 😭
