Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls

Ah, baking with pumpkin is a major highlight of autumn. Because all my pumpkins are still being used for decorative purposes, I bought a can of puree… because I just can’t wait! So to follow is many pictures of this first pumpkin baking endeavor of the season. Using Rainbow Nourishments‘ wonderful recipe, these gorgeous beauties turned out really good! Some notes are below…

I still have a huge thingy of yeast that is not instant. So I had to activate the yeast separately, but boy was it bursting with activity! The rest of the ingredients waited in the stand-up mixer.

I knead you…

Ready for first proof

Boom! That inflated well.

Was looking forward to getting these out of my pantry. I bought them on the road somewhere in the summer.

Filling ready for spreading. I feel like it was too Allspice-y.

Rolled out

It didn’t spread well because I accidentally put the nuts in along with the other ingredients with the rest, instead of sprinkling after.

Rolling her up

Gosh, using dental floss really is the best way to cut rolls. Look how beautiful they cut…

Time for the second proof

They got super fat!

Ready to bake

Cream cheese frosting ready to go

And they’re done!

Can these get any more gorgeous?

What should I make with the rest of the pumpkin puree???

Happy Pumpkin Season!
