Autumn Bits

As Autumn magic feeds my spirit, some bits of it before it leaves suddenly. As it usually does…

Above, some delectable autumn-inspired vegan goodies from Confectionery! in the East Village. I must say that Lagusta’s Luscious and Sweet Maresa’s have the best vegan treats in the New York area. In the box, pumpkin butter macarons, autumn cream chocolates and bleeding hearts chocolates. Each outstanding.

Onward! I dropped off this pumpkin at my parents’ house. It’s a perfect pumpkin.

True Food Kitchen while I was at my parents. This is a delicious pizza concoction: garlic purΓ©e, organic kale, roasted butternut squash, dried cranberry, caramelized onion, and a house-made vegan almond ricotta. Delivered cold unfortunately, but still very good!

The first official birthday cupcake, gifted by my co-teacher.

It’s from Little Cupcake Bakeshop. I wish they played a bit more with different vegan options.

The best breakfast choice when at home: pancakes.

Tofubox is right next to my hair cutting place, so I usually partake. It seems odd to me that Williamsburg is kinda a dearth of quick good vegan meal options. These are the vegetable bun and tofu dumplings.

After… Yay, a proper haircut

Some beet ravioli I picked up from Pastosa in Eltingville, Staten Island recently. They are beautiful before, during and after.

And they are so good. Definitely the best vegan raviolis in New York City.

The classroom pumpkins. Yes, I will be making these into cupcakes comes November…

The classroom globe has the constellations. It’s so pretty. The kids were so delighted when I first turned it on.

During Brooklyn errands, I tried Fat Fowl‘s vegan offerings: Tamarind mushrooms, coconut quinoa and sweet plantain

Really yummy. My favorite bites had that kale. Should have asked for kale!

I don’t eat plantain enough.

The kids made all these pumpkins. So nice to be back in an elementary school again.

Delivery from Cocoa Grinder. They’ve got a veggie burger that isn’t Beyond or Impossible, thank goodness. Sweet potato fries… mmmmm.

Now Manhattan errands… a sundae from Van Leeuwen. Pumpkin pie chocolate and chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream with hot fudge, nuts and coconut whipped cream.

This church that was destroyed by fire is slowly getting fixed. Very slowly.

Old time checker cab siting…

Picture day fun.

Burning sage in my apartment… long overdue.

Ok, I went to Van Leeuwen again. Here is that Pumpkin pie chocolate

Lastly, Orchard Grocer on the way home. I got their chicken sammy with tofu fried chicken. A very delicious sandwich indeed!

So how is your Fall?
