March Was A Fog

Why is it that January through March passes so quickly?  To follow are tidbits of time in March, starting with the lemon bundt cake I made for my mother’s birthday.

You get up and work and go home.  This happens most days.  Hopefully you do something important and worthy enough to devote so much time to.  The way home is meditative. I watch the train’s shadow cast upon my path.

This was a category on Jeopardy.  No joke!  The contestants shyed away from it.  They preferred a variety of esoteric trivia categories, so I couldn’t show off my vegan knowledge.  But it was still a hoot to here Alex say “The Vegan Life.”  So much that I took a picture of the television.

International Women’s Day was March 8… so a lot of women were posting things about female empowerment.  That is wonderful, except when, well, the same women are cutting other women down in their everyday lives, confining them to a strict and antiquated system of milestones. I was so annoyed about it that I made this graphic.

The New York City public school system has a new chancellor who seems to be a breath of fresh air.  He hails from Houston, so I took the opportunity to support his selection and his commitment to public schools by rocking my vegan cowboy boots.

Lunch: a Thai carrot soup… mostly peanut butter and carrot.  So delicious.

Another lunch: An also delicious curry starts with toasted spices.

Bareburger‘s new menu dropping many v-bombs.

Time to make the donuts. Lovely starts of days in Brooklyn.
