Vauxhall & I, More Vegan Options in Huntington Village

Remember when I went to get the seitan jackfruit pulled pork tacos at Radio Radio in Huntington Village? Well there are more vegan options right next store!  Vauxhall is a cool bar and eatery right next store with a vegan-friendly brunch and dinner menu. We stopped by to sample.

I got the tempeh hash vegan option off their brunch menu: a bed of yummy potato hash in a mini skillet topped with tempeh, pico de gallo, pickled peppers and some avocado. It was delicious but needed a sauce to tie it all together… a creamy hollandaise perhaps?  Looks like my style of cutting the avocado.

I really wanted to get their vegan poutine, but they no longer had it on the menu. Big bummer! So I checked out one of their housemade burgers: The Black Bean Sweet Potato Burger with avocado, confit tomato on a whole grain bun. Very delicious patty that was a pleasing mushy… not too mushy. The confit tomato and the tasty patty made this a refreshingly flavorfulveggie burger that was seasoned well.

Other vegan options include Vegan Wings with a Sriracha lime bbq sauce and a Napa slaw. But they’re those weird frozen, processed things with sticks in them that new vegans fawn over, but OG-vegans, like me, don’t enjoy. The Impossible Burger, as well as another housemade vegan burger option, a chick pea edamame burger with hummus and pistachio tahini in a wrap formation.
