Divine Treasure’s Ice Cream Boat

Because Connecticut won’t be so close to me soon, I headed to get my favorite vegan soft serve ice cream at Divine Treasures.
Let’s talk a bit about this place Divine Treasures first. This blog has been going on for almost two decades. And I have devoted many years to vegan discovery, reporting on places that years later are household names. But I was always ahead of the game–I had to become a skilled vegan hunter as I went vegan in the years there was really nothing around to eat (1998). I first went to Divine Treasures in 2011. Since that first visit, they’ve gone completely vegan and often have a line out the door. It is a bit of a trip to think back on especially now, when vegan food is easier to find.
Anyway, this boat of soft serve had me combatting terrible northbound traffic in NYC mid-day. My selections: strawberry, chocolate and vanilla ice creams; caramel, berry and hot fudge sauces; and toasted hazelnut and sprinkle toppings.

The best vegan soft serve I’ve had. But I should have brought a banana!
