Some Final Eats in
New Hampshire & Rhode Island

Finding a meal that satisfies so fully while on the road is part of why I love to travel! And Col’s Kitchen in Concord, New Hampshire most certainly fits the bill. Bright, friendly and with a fantastic all-vegan menu, it was a welcome respite from yet another day of driving.

Choosing an option when I know I won’t soon get the opportunity to sample other offerings anytime soon lays on the pressure. The awesome waitress helped me choose exactly what I needed… their Pad Thai and a side of their cauliflower wings smother in ginger sesame sauce.

Add a watermelon mint tea and I was good to keep on trucking.

Onward to Blush Bakeshop in Providence, Rhode Island. Perhaps I arrived too late to snag anything more exciting, but I was kind of disappointed with the selection… considering I had been watching them closely via Instagram for quite some time.

What I did get was very yummy… this is a watermelon-looking sugar cookie

And this was a honee-glazed donut. Heavenly innards but too much sugar on the outside. I know, I know–it’s a donut.

Since I skipped the more fancy Plant City restaurant collective in Providence, I hit the fast casual spot in Middletown, Rhode Island–Plant City X.

I got the chili cheese fries on a whim… as good as it looks!

And their vegan chicken fried chicken… Their “Chik” Sandwich is a fried tofu patty, coleslaw, pickles, slathered in chipotle mayo. I appreciate the tofu not being a frozen packaged patty. Texture was a bit affected by how slathered in sauce it was, but it was really darn good.

That’s all the food for now, New England. Ya done well!
