Beauty in the Boroughs: Manhattan
And Vegan Food

Manhattan’s Chinatown is a unique part of the island. It has its own pace, its own feel as if air-lifted from across the sea. I enjoy being a tourist within its cluttered streets, pleased that the community is not subject to the the dangers a lot of the other parts of the city are: being overtaken by big box stores and high income housing.

Though Spicy Moon is in the East Village, it was the perfect end to my trip to New York’s China. They have all-vegan authentic Szechuan dishes.

Veggie dumplings. One of my first vegetarian loves. They still got it.

The spicy Mapo Tofu. So very good with just a hint of nose-running.

Next up and lastly, Staten Island.

If you want look back on the borough postcards…
