🎩🌈☘️ Happy St. Patrick Day 🇮🇪

March is has been jam-packed… and so it is flying fast–much to my satisfaction. But I am baking through the month’s milestones. This time: St. Patrick’s Day.

Irish Soda Bread is a simple favorite of mine. This loaf, adapted from Nora Cook’s recipe, would be the vibrant hue of the holiday. And it would of course include caraway seed. I had to go to 3 supermarkets to find some after I accidentally smashed my jar full to the kitchen floor. It is, to me, not Irish Soda Bread without these important seeds.

The dough was a bit wet. I cooked it in the cast iron.

Not the best rise, but it had great texture.

There’s that texture…
