Vegan Options at the Staten Island FerryHawks Game ⚾

Initially these plans were with my friend Bruce–we have been to baseball games at all of the area’s professional stadiums. But before we could visit the Staten Island Yankees at their home ballpark, they ceased operations in 2020. Founded in 2021, The Staten Island FerryHawks, part of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, would take their place. Yadda yadda yadda, Bruce couldn’t go so I asked another baseball game-going friend to take his place. We really enjoyed the stadium, though the FerryHawks had a really bad night. Here’s some highlights and vegan options.

The Manhattan skyline looms.

Popcorn and pretzel twists… I am 95% sure both are vegan.

Now Dippin’ Dots! As far as I have researched, the “Ice” flavors below are vegan. The others are not…

This was the real surprise… a vegan burger! Sure it was Impossible, but I can make an exception and eat it at a baseball stadium.

Ready to chow down in the front row…

The burger

The beer… from Flagship Brewery, Staten Island’s own.

My friend brought these prisms we played with while the FerryHawks did nothing on the field.

Look at the little Verrazanno Bridge

The prism making me look much more intoxicated

We moved seats every 20 minutes

Ok, it’s off my NYC bucket list!
