V.V. Holidaze 2022:
The 13th Annual Classroom Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cupcakes πŸŽƒπŸ§

And just like that, it is that time of year… the first frost, a final storing of the light jacket for more insulating outwear, kids with hat head at school, the sneaking melody of holly jolly subtly sandwiched in-between the in-between. And it is time to process Halloween’s pumpkins… because their purpose seems years ago, farther away than actual years ago for some reason.

Every year the season seems to sneak in earlier as the world looks forward to the culmination, to impart another peak of climax before a new start. At least numerically. I admit I look forward to the start of these traditions.

So let’s start somewhere… with cupcakes. Baked in: the inertia of the year’s days, hope, joy, gratitude and chocolate chips.

Cooking with Sharpie on the skin did not seem like a good idea so…

Ready for baking…

The seeds are always a big hit with my students. This year was no exception. Check ’em out on my classroom blog.

All cooked up and ready for pureeing

Cupcake making…

Looking beautiful before frosting

Best buttercream whipping away

As usual, they were a huge hit with staff and students.
