Good Thai is hard to find… once you leave the NYC metro area, but I was determined. The first Thai eatery that satisfied my Thai cravings here in Western New York is Sweet Basil in Victor, New York.

I started with these fantastic fresh rolls. Such great textures inside these rolls and a great variety of vegetables. I have actually had fresh rolls round here that were filled with 90% iceberg lettuce! So these really impressed me.

And Pad Thai, easily veganizable. I got the vegetable and tofu version, which again was pleasingly texturous. I would love a bit more flavor in the sauce, but I was very happy with this dish.

I’ll continue to try to find good Thai round these parts… and Chinese, which has been really difficult. More reporting soon!
