The Almighty Breakfast Sandwich

Breakfast sandwiches are my favorite. Do I have to explain why? A package-free sandwich? That sends me over the moon. I was delighted to find a convenient breakfast stop on my way north during my recent abandoned photographic mission. Grass Roots Kitchen in Tarrytown has a winning tofu-based breakfast sandwich with shiitake bacon, a generous smear of avocado and a tofu eggy patty with a viscous yolky center.
