Taco Saturday

Haab in Williamsburg, Brooklyn has a nice chunk of vegan options on its menu. Perfect for a last blast of sweet sunshine before Autumn freezes over in characteristic quickness.

Seeing my ol’ pal after I get my hair cut is a new tradition since it’s really the only time I am in Williamsburg. So some libations…

The Vegan Nachos are tortillas served with seitan chunks, black beans, vegan cheese, vegan sour cream, Pico de gallo, guacamole and pickled jalapenos. Really yummy, but chips are thin, making it better to eat with a fork. And some Elote smothered in vegan cheese.

The Seitan Baja Fish Taco is deep-fried seitan (I think?) served with slaw, pineapple salsa and vegan habanero mayo.

The Seitan Taco is seitan, red onions, and guacamole.
