Self Care Thursday
October 8, 2020
It was so nice out when I left work that I headed to Prospect Park… to eat vegan food under a tree. It’s been so hectic lately, so it was nice to whisk myself away and smother myself with treats. Maybe I’ll do this every Thursday?
First, my favorite Thai street food, Park Mor at Coco Thai. They call it “Steamed Veggie Dumpling,” but those who know Thailand know better.
Then, a vegan Cookies N’ Creme cupcake from Butterly Bakeshop. Both of these places are steps away from the park, whose foliage is starting to turn.
Then, since I was out and about and near the F train, I made my way to the East Village to score a T.F.T. That’s Tofu-Fried Tofu from Superiority Burger. Again, on my ground in a park: best seat in the house.
It was so beautiful, I got it from every angle.
Manhattan felt odd. So many eateries shuttered, others invaded the street with outdoor seating–but empty. π It blows my mind that these two shop are still here. They were there in the 90’s when I came to St. Mark’s Place to record shop, get pierced and see shows.
Crif Dog… closed temporarily?
NYC to all:
When I look at you…
Take care of you.
