Next Stop Vegan in The Bronx

So delighted to have a chance to bask in the positive vibes inside Next Stop Vegan‘s space in the Parkchester section of the Bronx. I had previously tried their food at the Bronx Night Market in 2018, so I was hoping to try something new on their menu. But getting great, vegan food in an area not know for plentiful vegan options would just one part of the story.

The other, a reminder of how important a bond vegans share. Founder Blenlly Mena is so warm and welcoming, understanding that connecting with her customers helps build a stronger vegan community. It is not just food, it’s a belief system whose collective impact literally saves lives. Just saying.

I really love how Next Stop Vegan utilizes plantains as a vessel. This time, two tremendous plantains housed my sandwich innards. The Patacon Chimi was so delicious and satisfying. Inside, their homemade black bean patty, crunchy cabbage, tomatoes, red onion, and their special chimi sauce.

Can you believe this thing? I’m salivating again looking at it.

A great value too since you don’t need to order a starch on the side! Thanks for a great bite, Next Stop Vegan. I will find a reason to get myself back to the Bronx soon to try another menu item.
