Lots of Vegan Food in Rochester, NY {Part 2}

I am slowly working my way to all of the eateries on my vegan Rochester list. So here’s my second run-down. πŸ˜‹

An old school diner with vegan options, as you likely know if you are a reader of my blog, is one of my favorite things to report on! Today it’s The Original Steve’s Diner, home of some legendary huge pancakes. And luckily for me, a vegan version.

Complete with vegan butter, the pancake was very cornbread-y. So light and pleasantly textured.

The breakfast spread!

Some really good Japanese while watching Boba Fett. These are some amazing dumplings from PokΓ© Sushi.Β

My usual–avocado roll and inari piece along with a vegetable roll.

Sticky Lips BBQ offers vegan BBQ options for folks like me.

Imagine a brick of tofu that it spice-rubbed and smoked and topped with a delicious BBQ sauce and smothered with sauteed peppers, onions, and mushrooms. On a bed of rice, I also opted for fries on the side.

I need to eat a whole brick of tofu more often!

A delight that the chef from The Vesper whipped me up a vegan dish off-menu with a ton of veggies in a red wine sauce piled on a bed of cous cous.

Requisite oat milk latte from Fuego Coffee Roasters. Hot. Never cold. Never sugar or flavorings. Now that you know, I expect lattes from you on occasion.

Fuego sells baked goods from Red Fern, Rochester’s all-vegan eatery. This is a really delicious strawberry crumb bar. Not the most flattering picture but it was so darn good. Fuego also sells vegan pastry (danishes!!) from Black Cat Bakery, though I haven’t sampled yet.

Swillburger was a repeat. And I think I want to go there over and over again. For one, they have a beet-based housemade veggie burger that you can double up! For two, it’s a bar and an arcade too.

This really is a dreamy veggie burger. Next time, I’ll try one of their vegan shakes.

Sweet and Sour Cauliflower was my side choice. Cauliflower “wings” tossed in a ginger sweet and sour sauce. Tangy and sweet, they hit the spot.

Though we hit many spots, there is a lot still left. No wonder VegNews named Rochester, New York The Best Small City in America for Vegans. (!!!)
