Last Day in Cleveland

{It’s My Party πŸŽ‰, Part 6}

My birthday excursion was packed with all of my favorite things, but reality returns tomorrow. The last day had me finally seeing downtown Cleveland and getting back into the foliage just a short drive from my motel in Richfield. The truth is that I consulted a Fall Foliage map before choosing my birthday destination. The peak foliage here has created the best backdrop for my adventures. So here is some more of that color–a final hike at the Brecksville Reservation.

My friend and fan of my adventures wants to make a picture book series of me. The heroine’s name, Kazi Wazi, which is her nickname for me. It would feature a fool-hearted, fiercely independent little Kazi Wazi wandering about by herself with her camera. She’d meet people and animals and have adventures that’d highlight the importance of remaining open to being awed by the world. It is actually a great idea. And I am honored to be its inspiration. I sent this picture to her and told her it’s for the book.

Paths

In a tree

Finally, some time in the city. This is Ohio City, a once rival of Cleveland. Now a walk on a beautiful bridge away… and I was on my way there after a fantastic dinner.

Here is the gorgeous Hope Memorial Bridge and its Art Deco Guardians of Traffic.

Spectacular

And great views from the bridge. This is Cleveland.

Do you see what I see down there? A deer! Lost in the big city!

That’s it, Ohio. I got to go unfortunately. Stay tuned for a post of all the amazing vegan food I ate on my trip. xovv
