I Tiramisu

Tiramisu translates to “pick me up” in Italian. That’s adorable. Beside that, it’s such a lovely dessert.  It is worth making just to sit a slice on a pretty plate and take a picture of.  After seeing Seitan is My Motor‘s recipe, I was inspired to make it again.

The spongecake is light and delicate. So light and delicate that when I make again, I will not put as the bottom layer. It made for sloppy serving. The coconut oil-based filling firms up well and would serve as a sturdier first layer.

The sponge soaking up the coffee and amaretto.

Layered and topped with a dusting of cocoa, it was ready to set.

Them lovely layers ready for serving.

How beautiful.

  • Simply luscious! Despite the fact that I work part-time as a baker, I sudden feel as though there aren’t enough desserts in my life. I haven’t made tiramisu in the longest time- Perhaps years, even. Time to fix that!
