From the Airport to New Jersey Vegan Eats

Straight from the airport it was onward to New Jersey for a day of sights and vegan eats, starting with one of the best vegan pizzas in the tri-state. Pizzanada‘s Vegan Meat Lasagna Grandma Pie with vegan mozzarella, vegan ricotta & seitan was dreamy when served piping hot… and then, hours later, cold at the beach. It’s truly sublime.

Crust not too thin, amazing sauce, soft and melty dollops of vegan mozzarella, mounds of tofu ricotta and their housemade seitan by request. Because I never want any Impossible meat.

Drooling…

Such great service, the lovely counterwoman gave us two free dessert empanadas: guava and cream cheese and Nutella cannoli. More deliciousness. Pizzanada is truly one of New Jersey’s best eateries for vegan eats.

Englewood’s Vegan Pastry Lab was really impressive when I first checked them out in February. Specifically it was the vanilla frosting that blew me away. I am sad to report that now the vanilla frosting was what you find at many vegan bakeries… thick, shortening-heavy, way too dense and bland. Wah…

But there are a large assortment of yummy treats to try! Their impressive case is always stocked well.

But it was this banana pudding that got me real excited. Banana cream, vanilla wafers and fresh banana is perfection. Plus who else is making vegan banana cream pudding???

Some delicious vegan treats from my neighbor New Jersey.
