February Outtakes

The shortest month, though a little longer this year, has come and gone. To follow some of the misplaced pieces of its path.

The moon. This was from the driveway. I shot as long as I could before frozen fingers put me back inside.

With some finally clear skies, more stuff up there. This is a light painting session at a nearby skate park. He held on to the flashlight as he skated. But soon the clouds overtook… along with that cold again.

Another frosty morning

I transformed my hutch because it didn’t fit anywhere but the spare bedroom. I painted it and added some pretty contact paper. And of course changed the hardware.

Now I can buy more old stuff

This picture amuses me because my hair looks so much lie a wig. Like I tried it on to seem mousy and innocuous. As if!

This was a fun highlight. I tested the kids’ palates. They wore blindfolds as they tried these 10 ingredients. You can probably guess which ones were not well received.

A stop at Panera Bread off the New York Thruway. I have been wanting to hit this place up because that super-charged lemonade intrigued me. Their vegan option is pretty good: a tomato basil bread smeared with hummus with some fresh veggies. Just remember to omit the feta!

Made some curry… it wasn’t me worst or best and it doesn’t look that exciting.

My guy got me a gift certificate to have a float! So I floated in this deprivation tank. I felt really relaxed when I got out despite feeling a bit anxious in there at points.

Some pancakes for breakfast

An amazing thrift score. I have people I text from the try-on room and ask if I should buy something. If you would like to subscribe to these texts, let me know.

These special edition Oreo are pretty cool! The kids ate ’em all up.

An unsensational tofu scramble… there were so many flaws. The fruit was good at least.

Spring was sneaking out!

And I needed to get bifocals. You have to look close to see ’em, but this is a “getting old” milestone.

Beautiful sunrise

and a pretty new playground to try out

A thrift stop in Buffalo meant a stop in the Strong Hearts Cafe outpost! I got their fried chick’n sammy as I like to do.

He’s burning stuff outside; I’m baking.

Love letting my hair air dry. I really like curls and waves.

Early spring blooms! These are snowdrops and I was happy to see them!

How was your February?
