Avocado Lime Cake

My Dad likes all kinds of flavors… So I like to try new cakes for his special days. This time, an avocado lime cake from Rainbow Nourishments. Here is the wet ingredients, looking exciting.

I decided I need new pans. I need 8″ and not 9″… these skinny layers just don’t cut the presentation. So yes, thickness counts.

Now I made all the nine yards for Dad… the buttercream, the filling, the avocado ganache. But perhaps the white chocolate is different where Rainbow Nourishments hails. Here, it was my biggest regret. I didn’t like neither the taste not the texture.

All ready and looking kinda okay. My immersion blender left some avocado chunks in the ganache.

A cross-section… the hue is a little too alien-ish. Overall, it was okay but I likely won’t try this one again… unless in bundt form.
