Eating Things Everyday

Though it has been very hectic integrating all my stuff into the household and reinterpreting all the space about us, I must eat. In-between the labor, some tasty bites.

Tacos are the perfect summer bite… plus you can satisfy so many tastes by making it interactive. Here my marinaded tofu crumble meets the brown rice, smashed avocado, roasted veggies, vegan sour cream concoction and cilantro–basics for vegan tacos 101. But the kids can get their cheese and meat (not pictured, ostracized on the stove) to satisfy their own pallets.

Baking with kids is different… slower… less precise, but still quite the joy. Here we make a brown sugar face that deteriorated with the addition of the wet.

A chopped chocolate bar makes for great cookies because you get un-uniform chunks… some that just speckle the pale brown canvas and some that glisten with deep crevasses of chocolate ooze

I knew they’d be way too close, but the only functioning oven right now during the transition can’t fit a big cookie sheet. So we made…

…one enormous cookie with perforations for easy ripping. Or you can call it a batch of blondies.

Up at the glorious Lake Ontario now. I love that we live next to this lake!

Trying some new berries–golden berries. They aren’t new, per se, but I have never tried them before.

Breakfast now…

I was gifted this Baby Yoda pancake pan and we got advanced with the batter… The first one was a fail but the second was perfect! Next time I’ll make his face green.

Messed up the ears on the next one…

Leftover batter as the coloring was kind of tedious. So these were red planet pancakes…

The sun at the park…

Now back to making this house a home! More later…
