Downtown Manhattan
Buildings and a Burger

A day of teacher professional development is like a little vacation. You get to sleep later, it usually takes place in some part of New York City you’re not often in, and… jeans/sneakers. Downtown Manhattan is one of my favorite hoods to be in for PD. For the views, I suppose. But also because it’s so nice to see the area thriving.

Next time I’ll need to bring my fish eye lens. The Oculus offers some great photographic possibilities. But you’ll have to deal with my iPhone pictures on a rather pretty morning.

The Freedom Tower is quite beautiful. If I had my discretionary funds I’d go to the observation deck.

Inside BMCC, where I’d be professionally developed.

Then I spied on the roof! I Want To Thank You from Stephen Espo Powers!

With Lekka Burger like 5 minutes away, I had to. A reward for the increased level of social output required to continuously collaborate of peers.

This time, their basic Lekka Burger.

As delicious as it looks. So–like very delicious.

It’s nice to get out of “the office” and into the less-traveled parts of my beloved city. Tomorrow, a Brooklyn adventure awaits. To the end of a jam-packed January. February here I come!
