Day Trippers At The TWA Hotel

It has been on my Bucket List to actually stay at this marvel of a hotel at John F. Kennedy airport: The TWA Hotel. And for a very special occasion, I booked the budget-friendly Day Tripper reservation to have four hours of full access to the amenities, including their heated pool with the view of the airport runway. Now that I have gotten a more concentrated tastes of what this unique hotel offers, I have plenty to come back for.
Cocktails in the main lounge. My drink of choice was The Jet Fuel: Cucumber Mint Vodka, Aperol, Fresh Lemon Juice & Muddled Watermelon. His was the 22 Right: Vodka, Ginger Beer & Fresh Lime Juice.
The room with the view of the old TWA head house. We weren’t here much. It was more holding our stuff while we roamed about.

Now up by the pool, the main attraction. It was frigid up there–and very windy. So the pool was sweet relief.

Fish Eye love
Some vegan food from the hotel. First, the Hummus Platter: Hummus, Marinated Olives & Fresh Vegetables with Flatbread. Yummy!
Lunch option… The Roasted Cauliflower on top of cous cous and turmeric tahini. It was really beautiful and delicious.
I officially love this place even more now! I’ll leave you with a gift from the photo booth.
