Breakfast at Le Petit Monstre

Needing a good breakfast before heading back to Rochester and needing to see Angela, we met at Le Petit Monstre bright and early and managed to find primo parking… a delicious appetizer if I do say so myself.

This place is large and refreshingly spacious for Brooklyn and has a tremendous daily selection of amazing French pastries, a feast for you eyes to say the very least.

I opted for a darling fruit tart: buttery layered flaky crust with a dreamy vegan pastry cream with assorted berries. It was heaven at each bite! My friend opted for a decadent classic cinnamon roll.

My S.E.C. on a croissant was certainly entirely against my New Years resolution… but I was not there yet. And so packaged vegan cheese and sausage and Just Egg on the of course housemade delectable croissant. It really hit the spot and I took half of it to go and ate it while on the I-80.

So much umptiousness.. That’s part Willy Wonka language

Next, we try for a selfie… which is always a challenge because we are older.

But the hilarity that ensues is far better than any posed picture!

Thanks for the love, Brooklyn! I will be back soon πŸ™‚
