Lots of Vegan Food in Rochester, NY

Finally, all the vegan food from my Rochester trip! Starting at Balsam Bagels, which offers next level vegan options like more than 10 varieties of vegan cream cheese, Just Egg breakfast sandwiches with their house made coconut bacon, vegan bagel dogs and carrot lox, as well as vegan sweet treats.

I went for a sausage egg & cheese on a toasted whole wheat everything bagel smothered with Earth Balance.

Breakfast at a skate shop!

Some scenes from Balsam Bagels because there was just so many v-bombs about…

Their chocolate chip cookie was fantastic. So ooey-gooey!

So I get oat milk lattes al over the place, but this one from Fuego Coffee Roasters deserves a picture.

Onward to Grass Fed Vegan Butcher, an all-vegan meat purveyor.

They have the vegan meats, that’s for sure.

But they do sandwiches daily now! This is the β€œI Want to Hold Your Ham”… their seitan ham, lettuce, tomato on a bun smeared with mustard. Yummy, but a bit soggy because I waited a bit to eat it.

Pick-up from The Owl House really knocked my socks off. I got the Tofu Dinner: tofu cutlets on a creamy roasted red pepper sauce, elote salad, zucchini medallions topped with basil aioli.

Eating while watching Squid Game… like everyone else.

Tofu done well.

Another great breakfast… this time from Original Grain. What a refreshing sign on their door!

And what an amazingly flavorful avocado toast in their vibrant space. The Smashed Avocado is avocado smash, red pepper flakes, tomato, scallions, carrot-cumin sauce, on soft multigrain toast.

So alive and vibrant.

Dinner time at Swillburger to satisfy our need for sustanence! The place used to be church, but now it is an eatery, a bar and an arcade. “Good vibes” one might say.

I got their double beet burger which was damn delicious… just peep how amazing it looks.

Making me smile…

This’ll have to be a regular in the Rochester vegan food rotation. Next time I will try a vegan shake.

Some sweet bites from area bakeries with vegan options. The best is Get Caked!

The cupcakes with the green sprinkles are vegan! So many options.

The Boston Cream and the Pumpkin Chai.

They were really good. I might say the best in Rochester.

Scratch Bakeshop has vegan options, but I don’t recommend their cupcakes…

They were very dense, hard and pretty average in the taste department. As always, I appreciate the options…

Lastly: dogTown… a hot dog joint with really great options for vegans!

My Veggie Chicago… mustard, relish, tomatoes, onions, green peppers, pepperoncini & celery salt… delicious…

And with that, it was time to hit the road. But there is still so much on my Rochester eats lists. Next time!
