Angel Hunting in the 5 Boroughs (Staten Island)
December 30, 2018
π Every Time A Bell Rings…
A New York City angel gets stalked by me. But after a thorough exploration of Moravian Cemetery a few weeks back, Staten Island doesn’t have that many angels left. But it does have disorganized and disheveled cemeteries that are also photogenic, like Silver Mount Cemetery, along with the less disheveled and less disorganized Saint Peters Cemetery with its few angels.
So it was a quick trip, enough to bask in the sunshine briefly and fulfill another borough of angel hunting. First, Silver Mount Cemetery in Silver Lake near Grymes Hill, where my folks lived when they first got hitched. The place was an absolute mess, as you will see.
Who’s in charge here?
I’d totally haunt people if this is was my final resting place.
Well, this can’t be good.
Adjacent to Silver Mount was a Jewish cemetery, Silver Lake Cemetery, part of the Hebrew Free Burial Association. Its gates were shuttered but I was able to capture a few shots from the fence.
Saint Peters Cemetery in West Brighton had just a few angels. They were aight. Moravian definitely takes the cake for best Staten Island angel hunting. I think–I really haven’t explored extensively. Or maybe I have?
I suppose I need to get myself into Manhattan for my final angel hunt. I can hear the angels calling… but maybe they just butt-dialed me.
