πŸ‘‘ The Current Reigning Recipe: Chocolate Chip Cookies

So these cookies… these cookies are absolutely amazing. And everyone I share them with seems to echo the sentiment. And I, and they, really know chocolate chip cookies. So I don’t have to go digging up the recipe tucked away in one of the million posts I’ve done about baking chocolate chip cookies, I am posting it prominently here.

“The Best Cookies They Ever Had”

Adapted from this recipe

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil softened, not melted
  • 1/4 cup plant milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 1/4Β cupΒ (156 grams) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup vegan chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup chopped carob

Preheat oven to 350F. Line a large cookie sheet with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, combine sugars with your coconut oil and mix well. Then add your plant milk and vanilla extract. Mix well.

Add in all your dry ingredients and mix well to form a dough. Fold in the chocolate chips and carob.

Using a cookie scoop, scoop dough on the lined tray and top Maldon sea salt flakes.

Bake for 10-11 minutes, until the edges have gone slightly golden.

Remove from the oven and let cool on the tray for 10 minutes. Transfer them to a cooling rack to cool completely.
