Sometimes my routines put me in a continuous loop. Apartment, school, other school, apartment. Repeat. It is these sometimes that I forget how amazing a city I live in, how bright and creative individuals from all over the world (and down the block) flock here to root their dreams and aspirations, how they’re doing really amazing stuff here. Like for example: Mast Brothers Chocolate makes artisan chocolate, from the bean to the beautifully-wrapped bar, right here in Brooklyn. Making chocolate? That is almost like a superpower! And these bearded superhero chocolatiers handcraft an outstanding product worthy of the buzz. Although some of their bar flavors may not be vegan, many are… because, after all, real chocolate should knock you off your feet. Rick and Mike Mast also source their cacao beans from small families and coops abroad. Now that is total-package chocolate.
