This is it! The last of my Vegan Victuals Valentine Inspirations. These cinnamon roll hearts capture the uniqueness of every heart–its complex chambers, its vault of secrets, its oddity. Using this recipe, you can shape your own dough hearts to your exact standards.
The first time I’ve used my pizza cutter!
I initially wanted to make a wreath…
But then I thought each individual heart was its own work of art. I separated them after the second rise right before baking.
Here they are cooling on the counter
Some look like wacky smiling faces
A simple vanilla icing makes them look much more impressive
I’m standing on the counter to get them all.
