Vegan Victuals Goes to Spain πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ
Miscellaneous Madrid Scenery

Behold a Madrid photodump! As I write this from my couch, it’s hard to imagine this backdrop was at my disposable for several days. I decided I needed to see more of the Old World… for the architecture alone. Ok, and their cemeteries. In the meantime…

This was on a main tourist hub Gran Via (translation: Great Way). I managed to crop ’em all out. The place was packed with tourists, a constant and steady stream of folks also shared my holiday in Madrid.

Plaza Mayor was just a short walk away. They used to do public executions here!

This is what the Metro looks like.

Our room. Hotels are very cheap in the area. In fact the whole area is very cheap!

The signs are always fun to interpret. Because I rented a car in Barcelona, I was doing a lot of that. But this one was while I was walking to a cemetery. It has a translation of “Luck is having a clean neighborhood.”

Here the pedestrians walk on piano keys!

I could not stop taking principal focus shots of the diagonals of gorgeous buildings. There are more to come…

Everything is old and I love it. This is the Royal Palace.

Graffiti was all about too.

A nice neon sign

More diagonals during my continual hunts for vegan food

There were palm trees about, which seemed fitting given the heat. It’s “sub-tropical” in Madrid! Though that seems to vary based on different climate deciders. Sub-tropical seemed accurate to me, a climate layman.

The Royal Palace. Next time I’ll go in.
