Since Vegan Pastry Lab opened last week, it went to the top of my list. This all-vegan bakery in Englewood, New Jersey has got a wide variety of sweet treats that exceed even my high standards. I just knew it would. Sometimes you just know.
The stark white of their frosting struck me first. You can actually see how fluffy it is before your teeth hit it. It was perfect frosting. But allow me to contrast: It is clunky, waxy, shortening-y, overly sweet, hard like it’s been in the fridge frosting that often turns me off from a bakery. This was not at all like that. In fact, I texted a friend who also has high frosting standards about how dreamy Vegan Pastry Lab‘s was. The best I’ve ever had. And I have been vegan for almost 25 years and eaten hundreds of vegan cupcakes from coast to coast.
Kind of wish I could have tried more stuff, but I’ve only one stomach. Next time!

The brownie with a decadent black cocoa was a real brownie… thick, fudgy. Very impressive!
I got the Tres Leche cupcake, which I expected to be a bit more wet… till I realized it was a tres leche filling. The cupcake base was really good. This place is really next level.
Then later, the Strawberry Cupcake… same dreamy frosting, amazing cake… and
A middle full of strawberry. Such perfection.
Omg!!! I am in love with this place amazing things cinnamon rolls are the best!!! There Black and white cookie is another winner and there Red velvet cupcake on another level. You have to try this place u won’t be disappointed 🎂
