Vegan Fried Chicken Perfection:
Lettuce Feast LAβ‘π€
February 21, 2020
When I do my official Los Angeles Fried Chicken Battle… and I will… I know that Lettuce Feast will likely kick butt. You see, it’s likely the best I’ve ever had. And I have been sampling vegan fried chicken here on the East Coast for many months. Yes, I said the best I’ve ever had. I’m just going to leave that right there. Because I don’t want to go on and on until it’s in official competition.
Thank goodness there isn’t a line! My LA battle plans were thwarted by the fact that many vegan fried chicken competitors are trucks with limited schedules and subject to running out. Atlas Monroe, who had been restocked at Honeybee the day before my arrival sold out indefinitely, which set the tone of my motivation to base all my plans around vegan fried chicken eating at the expense of so much other good stuff! Atlas has to be part of my battle. I need to see if the hype is merited. Any ways, Lettuce Feast was the second most need-to-eat in LA… and I was about to get my hands on some.
Oh my gawd, Becky, look at that Bun. Glistening.

Before the bites, lots of pictures. This is a very special moment for a vegan food blogger.
It crunched, its crag, my lord this is the real deal.
Lettuce Feast will make it to finals. Is that a spoiler alert? Los Angeles’ vegan food is a cut above the rest. Its chicken battle will likely be hard fought. Be on the look-out for adjusted brackets soon.
