Vegan Food In Reno, Nevada

So I kind of love Reno, Nevada. I didn’t expect to, but sometimes a place hits you in all the right places. Firstly there is a lot of vegan food! Which is always indicative of people kinda in the know. This post will only focus on the food. I was able to hit 4 different spots during my stay–and there were a couple more on my list too!

Great Full Gardens was such a welcome stop. With tons of vegan options to choose from, I was a bit overwhelmed. So maybe a mermaid latte can hold me over?

I settled on the Vegan Reuben in the end. Because I always have to when it’s on the menu. I had asked for fruit on the side, but was served the soup instead. So I wound up having both! The soup was a corn coconut.

The Rueben–sauerkraut, tempeh, Russian dressing on marble rye.

So damn good.

And one door down is Batch Cupcakery, an organic bakery that has some vegan options.

I got the vanilla with vanilla frosting and the key lime.

But there were others…

I can only speak for the key lime one as the melted ice in my cooler attacked the vanilla and it was inedible after that. The key lime cake was really good. Great texture and flavor–which made me bummed I couldn’t try the vanilla.

Breakfast the next morning at Two Chicks… even though I was staying in Carson City, I had to head north to Reno before a trip to Lake Tahoe.

I got the Vegan Skillet… tons of veggies, potatoes, pico de gallo, Just Egg and some warm corn tortilla. Again, just what I needed.

And because it was on the way, vegan treats from Haven on Earth, a exclusively gluten-free bakery.

Decisions, decisions

I got a chocolate-covered donut and a pineapple upside down muffin.

Very wet texture, but very enjoyable

Loved these chunks of pineapple in there

That’s a wrap on my food report from Reno, Nevada! I hope to get back soon to sample more food.
