Vegan Florida Eats 🌴
Dina’s Vegan Deli, Riviera Beach

Straight outta Philadelphia, Dina’s Vegan Deli continues a family business that began in the 1960’s when Dina’s grandfather owner a steak and hoagie shop. And you can tell that the love and care put into crafting the vegan Philly Cheesesteak–with its thin housemade seitan “steak” and from scratch “cheese whiz”, fried onions, hot peppers and ketchup squiggle served on a steamed Philly steak roll–makes it the real deal. So I just had to get their signature sandwich when we stopped by for lunch.

And I suppose some greens were in order too! This is their cheesesteak with Kale Caeser Salad, a kale and Romaine mix with seasoned tomatoes and baked croutons slathered in a delicious, creamy house-made caesar dressing.

But back to their cheesesteak! This was the real thing, as good or better than Philly’s own cheesesteak at Blackbird (my personal Philly favorite)… Let’s zoom in to see that delicious seitan. This is not a sandwich that should have seitan chunks, thank you very much.

That steamed bread makes all the difference. A Philly cheesesteak bread should fight with the delicate seitan; it should deliver it to you on a soft pillow. I suppose the ketchup is traditional. I’m not sure?

Some Easter cupcakes with coconut bunny hair and Dandies ears. Cute!

Another sweet, their chocolate peanut cheesecake. I just had a nibble as my friend loved it so.

A great discovery in the West Palm Beach area–with wonderful service to boot.
