Vegan Candy For Halloween

There is a lot of easy to find vegan Halloween candy out there! My bowl is ready. Here are some of this year’s offerings:

Justin’s peanut butter cups

“Not sorry” I prefer better quality peanut butter cups. Reese’s contain animal ingredients (milk & milk fat), but also a controversial preservative TBHQ. Don’t you love how many terrible additives are banned in many other countries but are fine and dandy to add into American goods?

Cocomels coconut milk caramels

I love these because they remind me so much of these: Brach Milk Maid Royals. I was way into these when I was a kid, when I ate poorly. This line of caramel products are all made from coconut, the godsend for vegan creaminess.

Enjoy Life Halloween Minis

Though I really love their chocolate chips, but these halloween minis use rice milk… I guess for the kiddos who prefer milk chocolate to dark chocolate. I am not, however, a kiddo. So I will happily give these away and not choose them when I saunter over to the Halloween bowl.

Unreal Candy chocolate-covered coconut bars

These are like Mounds bars, but without the milk fat and corn syrup. What I love about them is the texture of the chocolate coating. It has that waxiness I associate with a childhood favorite (Charleston Chew).

My big name selections are all vegan but many contain some garbage ingredients and creepy artificial colors… Skittles, Dum-dums, Smarties, Grape Nerds. You probably know ’bout them.

What’s your favorite vegan Halloween eat???
