V.V. Holidaze:
Union Square Holiday Market ๐ŸฆŒ
Vegan Eats While Christmas Shopping

The holidays in New York City are back! That means the places like the Union Square Holiday Market are jam-packed with merry-seekers in pre-Covid fashion. Naturally you will need to feed yourself special treats for enduring the mob.

I was happy to discover Macaron Parlour and their many vegan macarons for sale. I got myself a box to test them out before potentially getting a box for some loved ones.

Though they are of course pretty, their vegan macarons were quite dry and hollow-feeling, not like Queen OG macaron-maker Maresa. {Can we just pause to appreciate how perfect her macarons are? I will likely grab some from Confectionery! for gift giving.} I did appreciate that there was more than one basic flavor offered.

My stash… one of each vegan please.

They sure look the part!

For some savory sustenance, it was Bao Tea House. Given how much I love bao, I don’t eat it enough!

Today I feasted on the only vegan bao offered at the holiday market… the Impossible Bao.

That dreamy fluffy white bun stuffed with vegan fried chicken served with homemade chili sauce and a rich vegan mayonnaise.ย  So damn good.

I can eat 10 of these.

A few blocks away is one of the most magical toy stores in the city: Camp. A great place for holiday shopping for little and big kids. They also have a coffee bar where I got a much needed oat milk latte while peeping an exciting discovery: Black & White Cookie Vegan Ice Cream from Blue Marble!

A quick sample on the color-changing spoon and I knew I’d have to return.

Some great bites inside the holidaze… Thanks, Manhattan!
