UT47 in Hells Kitchen, Manhattan

Out of New York City’s 5 boroughs, the longest list of vegan options to check out is in Manhattan. But this morning, with a photographic mission in the borough, I crossed one off my list: UT47 Kitchen in Hell’s Kitchen. As I walked in I was immediately struck by tons of “vegan” signage, though they are not an all-vegan eatery. The counter spot is more breakfast-centric and that is why I came by.

But perhaps I return for some of their other goodies…

Like their Man-du, Korean-style dumplings

I got a mermaid latte with macadamia nut milk… it was a bit too sweet for me.

My breakfast bagel… It’s got tofu bacon, Just Egg vegan egg, avocado, tomato, and a slice of Chao cheese. Great layers and it comes with an apple and a vegan blueberry muffin!

Overall a good option if you’re in the Hell’s Kitchen area, though I don’t know that I would make a special trip. It’s a luxury that vegans have this choice now.

While I am in Manhattan, does anyone remember this kind of transit signage? I do! It’s still around some stations, like here at Grand Avenue stop off D train.

Dorkiness always welcome.
