Up.

Hitting the road at 4:30 a.m., The Electrician and I set out to see the morning hot air balloon launch at The QuickCheck Festival of Ballooning in Readington, New Jersey. This was my idea. I wanted to capture the event on film and had been looking forward to it for months. It was a one of a kind experience and I am so glad The Electrician was down for the early trek.
 There’s something about a bright tear-drop balloon against the blue sky.

Watching the balloons inflate and hearing the blasts of propane was very exciting. Unfortunately many of the balloons had branding on them, which took away from the bright and beautiful colors.

What a gorgeous morning for a balloon launch!

And to add one small bit about eats, I was happy to see this “no dairy” specification at the smoothie stand. We came, we saw, we bought a smoothie. Time to head home!
