The Savory Fig
Delicious Treats on Long Island

Long Island’s The Savory Fig has been on my radar for a few months. With pop-ups here and there and ranging a broad geographic area on Long Island, I knew that if opportunity aligned with my plans, the delicious looking sweet treats I had been spying on Instagram would be mine. So heading to the North Shore for some exploring, it was first a stop at the Deep Roots Farmers Market, inside an Episcopal Church, for a sweet goal achieved.

The beautiful treats are made with care by this awesome woman–with a focus on quality ingredients.

I was excited for these heart-shaped linzer cookes. Because… you really get to eat two cookies at a time and a big smear of jelly. These were heavenly!

We also devoured the cookies and cream scones. So yummy and, like everything we had, elevated. The treats don’t taste like cheap sugars to overcompensating levels. They’re flavorful and feel good eating. So we ate more…

Finally, a strawberry roll. Like the others, they convinced me that I must get back to wherever The Savory Fig shows up next to try more of her amazing baked goods.
