The Days & The Nights

The lifestyle of a Flight Attendant is pretty unique. The majority of the month is spent traversing through the country, staying somewhere new each work day. It is exhausting but exciting…

You join a team, a flight crew, for the duration of the trip. Then you say goodbye a meet a new crew.

The mornings are busy and start in the evening sometimes as I am often needing to set my alarm for 2:00 or 2:30 am. So the “nights” also begin earlier too. The structure of the day I am used to is gone.

You live within other people’s journeys; it’s your workspace.

You create new purposeful routines that allow you to take as much rest as possible.

When possible, you make preparations to meet your needs in a space far from home.

You explore wherever you are and treat yourself. (This was a vegan mango lassi, samosas, and a dosa at a delicious Indian restaurant in Stamford, Connecticut: Navaratna Vegetarian Indian Restaurant.)

It’s taking geographical opportunities…

Like catching a slasher chick flick in the theater midday (MaXXXine)

And cooling off in the pool after check-out and before check-in times

It’s always knowing what you’re wearing

Until next night…
