Ten Things To Do Instead of Shopping: #5. Make something.
December 9, 2018

With a load of Christmas materials to repurpose after a haul from Materials For The Arts and some donations from friends, I busted out my trusty hot glue gun to create a vintage-inspired holiday wreath.

To add some holiday bling to my apartment, I begin my favorite craft medium. I call it 3D collage – the layering of three dimensional stuff.

Ok, ok–I did have to buy this thing to make my wreath. And some garland from the 99 cent store.

This tutorial was my inspiration, but I decided not to go with any color scheme as I like lots of color.

I’m not done, but I ran out of hot glue sticks. Wah!

Watching Mad Men during this craft gave me lots of retro inspiration.

Looking good!
