Something Old, Something New for Breakfast: Gregorys Coffee & Bubbie’s
May 24, 2024

When I saw Gregorys Coffee logo, I knew I had to stop in. It reminds me of Brooklyn! And I knew I could get a sweet and vegan treat while sipping on my cappuccino.

When I saw that Bubbie’s had a “vegan salmon roe” topping for their bagel with housemate vegan cream cheese, I knew I would be wasting $16 on a bagel.

Though it really looks cool, the bagel really didn’t need any bursts of moisture, let alone several in every bite. You see, despite its price, this breakfast was on a non-NY bagel… a soft, supermarket-y bagel (read: terrible) that even though toasted, had no crust or pull. Just one of those horrible bagels you have to deal with now and again. With that bagel as a foundation, all else is impacted. So I wouldn’t get this again… and the impersonal order at the kiosk and get up and get your own food but still ask for a tip is a bit ridiculous as well.
But again, it looked really neat.
