Some Vermont Eats
February 19, 2019

With “Big Ice Cream” beginning to offer dairy-free options, vegan ice cream… or, as Ben & Jerry calls in Non-dairy Frozen Dessert… is sweeping the nation. So I visited the Ben & Jerry Factory while it was only 20 minutes away to have the breakfast of champions: an ice cream cone.

Represent!

Next time I come I want these to read “Almond milk,” “Coconut cream,” and more “Coconut cream.”

In Burlington is an all-vegan bakery that specializes in breads. So it has some spectacular vegan sandwich options. But I needed to get my breakfast on. The ice cream cone did not cut it!

My delicious Pain au chocolat. Really good.
My breakfast sandwich: glazed tempeh, spinach, caramelized onion, green chile aioli on english muffin. Yummy but mostly bread. It needed some tofu! But I totally appreciate no packaged vegan cheeses! In fact, they have several nut cheeses on the menu. Oh, if I had two stomachs!
Going up to the filing cabinet in the sky…

I am New York bound for more vegan eats and other delicious things. Stay tuned!
