Some Vegan Eats in Greenpoint & Williamsburg, Brooklyn

After a wrong turn, we headed to Williamsburg, Brooklyn. So of course I had to cross off a couple of eats from my list… First, Happy Zoe Vegan Bakery. This place and its treats have that 90’s feel, the kind that reminds me of the old days.

I got a donut for photograph purposes. It was good and clean tasting–hearty even?

But the banana whip is what drew me in. I’m pretty amazed with its texture given it is just frozen fruit. My selection had all kind of fruit in it… most striking was the dragon fruit.

Next Terms of Endearment. I’ve been wanting to check out The Hawaiian: vegan spam, JustEgg, pickled slaw, and sambal mayonaise on a housemade Hawaiian bun. Great flavor combo, but execution was a little wet.

The bread was dreamy. Wish I could try it right out of the oven.

Hmmm, spam…

Since it was almost closing time, we were offered 2-for-1 treats from the case. This is a bananas foster croissant. Personally I don’t think croissants should be stuffed and topped with all kinds of things. I kind of feel like its undignified. I don’t know, I guess that is weird but I am slightly insulted by obnoxious flavor combinations raping the delicate pastry. So yes, this was also wet and messy.

Quick stop but I’ll be back again soon for more eats!
