Slow Cooked Tomato Sauce & Lasagna
October 6, 2023

After receiving a bunch of tomatoes from my guy’s dad’s garden, I put them all to good use, making pasta sauce in the slow cooker… so I can do other things with apples.

Have you ever made tomato sauce in a slow cooker? Did I commit some kind of sacrilege?

They broke down beautifully. So well that we headed out to Wegman’s to get the ingredients for a lasagna!

In the end we ran out of sauce, but it was still very delicious: tempeh ground round I whipped up, tofu ricotta, and fresh basil. A basic but dreamy combination.

The pan didn’t last long!
